JPS-SP participa de Semana de Engenharia em Marília

O Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES Seção São Paulo (JPS-SP) participou, em 2 de maio, da IV Semana da Engenharia Civil da Faculdade de Ensino Superior do Interior Paulista – FAIP, em Marília (interior de São Paulo).

O JPS-SP foi representado pela integrante Carla Mylena Santos Vasconcelos, engenheira civil que atualmente cursa Hidráulica e Saneamento Ambiental pela FATEC – Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo. Carla apresentou a palestra com o tema “Software Livre Giswater Simulador para Redes Hidráulicas”.  “No cotidiano profissional utilizo a ferramenta AutoCad para detalhamento de projetos executivos de redes e a pouco mais de um ano comecei a utilizar os softwares livres para cadastramento técnico georreferenciado integrado a modelagem hidráulica que são (GisWater, QGis, PostgreSQL e Epanet”, explica a engenheira.

Na ocasião, a palestrante também apresentou a ABES aos universitários, abordando sua representatividade e influência no setor, assim como o JPS. Também falou sobre o cenário geral do Saneamento, cadastro técnico de redes de abastecimento de água, coleta de esgoto e águas pluviais; noções de banco de dados (software livre Postgres); noções de georreferenciamento (software livre QGis); e modelagem hidráulica das redes de abastecimento de água (software livre Epanet) utilizando o GISWATER como ferramenta de integração.

Para Carla, a experiência proporcionou retorno pessoal e profissional. “Foi muito gratificante, sinto que consegui transmitir as utilidades do programa e sua importância para o mercado. Fiquei feliz com o retorno que recebi dos alunos, principalmente na etapa final da palestra, quando foi disponibilizado um tempo para tirar dúvidas e eles mostraram-se interessados tanto pelas facilidades do Giswater quanto pelo setor do Saneamento Ambiental”, ressalta.

O programa estimula a participação dos jovens profissionais por meio de reuniões, palestras, seminários e outras atividades, além de possibilitar o contato entre estudantes e recém formados e profissionais experientes do setor.
