O presidente da ABES-SP, Luiz Pladevall, marcará presença na abertura do evento, que acontecerá das 14h às 18h. Esta edição traz como tema “Água Segura Para Uma Vida Saudável”.

A Associação Interamericana de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – AIDIS e a Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção São Paulo (ABES-SP) promoverão nesta sexta-feira, dia 1º de outubro, o 28º Encontro Técnico de Alto Nível.

Com o tema “Água Segura Para Uma Vida Saudável”, o evento acontecerá no formato virtual, das 14h às 18h. Clique aqui para se inscrever.

O presidente da ABES-SP, Luiz Pladevall, é um dos convidados que integrarão a abertura do encontro, que será transmitido pelo canal da Seção no YouTube.

Contexto:

A segurança da água para consumo humano é um fator fundamental na prevenção de doenças de veiculação hídrica e permite associar a ocorrência de doenças à vulnerabilidade do sistema de abastecimento de água para consumo humano, uma vez que um dos principais determinantes da mortalidade infantil, corresponde às pobres condições de higiene, falta de água potável e de má qualidade.

O Quadro de Segurança da Água se apóia em um tripé: legislação adequada, avaliação dos riscos à saúde nos sistemas hídricos desde a bacia até o consumidor e vigilância eficaz da saúde.

Para isso, em 2009 a Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) desenvolveu a ferramenta denominada Planos de Segurança da Água (PSA) e posteriormente em 2017 a OMS publicou o documento denominado: “Planos de segurança hídrica resilientes ao clima: gerenciamento de riscos à saúde associados à variabilidade e mudança climática”, cuja tradução seria:“ Planos de segurança hídrica resilientes ao clima (PSA-RC): gestão de riscos à saúde associados à variabilidade e mudanças climáticas”, com esta valiosa metodologia aspiramos a garantir que a Segurança Sanitária do abastecimento de água seja desafiada.

A avaliação e gestão dos riscos para a saúde associados aos sistemas de abastecimento de água, desde a bacia hidrográfica ao consumidor, facilita a aplicação dos princípios das barreiras múltiplas e das boas práticas sanitárias, de acordo com as normas vigentes em matéria de saúde pública.

A implementação do PSA-RC permitirá aos Órgãos Provedores de água para consumo humano e aos municípios melhorar a qualidade e promover o enquadramento da segurança da água, que, na metodologia PSA-RC, é o objetivo de saúde responsável por nortear as ações que permitem a acessibilidade e distribuição segura de água para consumo humano, e inclui medidas de controle, como a proteção do sistema da bacia e os processos de purificação.

Ressalta-se que a melhoria da qualidade da água para consumo humano, saneamento básico e higiene (pessoal e pública) são alicerces básicos na prevenção primária das doenças transmissíveis. Esta meta de saúde servirá como suporte para cumprir o Objetivo de Desenvolvimento Sustentável número 6 (ODS 6): “Garantir a disponibilidade de água e seu manejo e saneamento sustentáveis ​​para todos, sem deixar ninguém para trás”.
