Seção RS e CT Perdas realizam debate no ABES Conecta sobre hidrogênio verde como fonte renovável

Nesta segunda-feira, 29 de novembro, a ABES Seção Rio Grande do Sul e a Câmara Temática de Gestão de Perdas e Eficiência Energética da ABES, em parceria com o Observatório de Mudanças Climáticas de São Leopoldo/RS, realizaram um Encontro Temático para discutir o hidrogênio verde como fonte renovável.

O evento, que aconteceu no ABES Conecta, com transmissão pelo canal da Associação no youTube, contou com apoio institucional da Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento (Corsan).

O webinar teve apresentação de Ricardo Röver Machado, coordenador da CT Gestão de Perdas e Eficiência Energética, e moderação de Andrea Andrade Matos, gestora de Energia da Sabesp e de Everson Gardel de Melo, coordenador do Observatório de Mudanças Climáticas de São Leopoldo.

Um dos maiores desafios da atualidade é a diversificação da matriz energética, o que é considerado essencial para o enfrentamento das mudanças climáticas que impõe a diversas nações o risco de escassez, e mesmo apagões que trazem transtornos e riscos à sociedade.

Neste cenário surgem, em diversas partes do mundo, pesquisas, experimentos e realizações para a obtenção e aproveitamento do Hidrogênio como fonte de Energia e, mais recentemente, a obtenção do Hidrogênio a partir de fontes renováveis (eólica e solar, principalmente), dando origem ao Hidrogênio Verde.

Para aprofundar este importante assunto, o evento teve a participação dos especialistas Sidney Gonçalves de Oliveira Sobrinho, engenheiro e consultor em Pesquisa e Novas Tecnologias, Mônica Saraiva Panik, diretora de Relações Institucionais da Associação Brasileira do Hidrogênio, e Carlos Alberto Mendes Moraes – pesquisador e professor da UNISINOS.

Mônica Saraiva Panik falou sobre transformação energética, fontes renováveis, descarbonização da economia, destacando os cenários brasileiro e mundial do hidrogênio.

A engenheira abordou as etapas e os processos de produção do hidrogênio, qual a sua funcionalidade e como eles podem contribuir com o meio ambiente. Ela explicou quais são os tipos de produção do hidrogênio (hidroelétrica, solar e eólica, entre outras) e apresentou projetos pilotos produzidos no Brasil. Segundo a especialista, mais de 30 países estão aderindo à prática com mais de 131 projetos, o que movimentará até 2030, U$500 bilhões.  Entre os principais países estão EUA, Canadá, França, Alemanha e Japão.

Sidney Gonçalves de Oliveira Sobrinho mostrou o cenário atual e previsto de cada tecnologia e esforço para a redução de CO2. Entre outros tópicos, ele falou sobre obtenção, produção e uso energético, processos eletrólise/célula combustível e de tratamento.

Por sua vez, o professor Carlos Alberto Mendes Moraes falou sobre pesquisas e processos para o desenvolvimento de novos materiais e tecnologias, recursos naturais, sustentabilidade e economia circular. O evento está disponível neste link.
