ABES-AL: seminário sobre reúso de água reúne especialistas em Maceió

A ABES, Diretoria Nacional, com apoio da Seção Alagoas (ABES-AL), promoveu nesta segunda-feira, 17, em Maceió, o Seminário “Reúso de Águas como Oportunidade para o Desenvolvimento Socioeconômico no Nordeste”.

“O reúso de águas é uma alternativa estratégica para o Nordeste”, afirmou o engenheiro civil Álvaro Menezes, diretor nacional da ABES e sócio executivo da GO Associados – Escritório Norte/Nordeste, durante sua palestra, “Visão geral sobre oportunidades de reúso no Nordeste brasileiro”, que abriu o encontro no auditório da Casa da Indústria, em Maceió. 

Álvaro Menezes disse que o cenário atual é preocupante quanto à oferta de água. “Apenas 39% da população brasileira mora nas 100 maiores cidades”, salientou. Segundo ele, o nível de atendimento de coleta e tratamento de esgoto é muito baixo e há desequilíbrio entre a oferta e a procura. Ele vê o reuso como um mecanismo para se obter a segurança hídrica. “Em linhas gerais a ABES considera que o reúso precisa fazer parte do planos de saneamento e diretores como uma alternativa à falta de água, devendo ser analisado caso a caso”, frisa.

alvaro-alagoasTambém participaram do encontro o Professor Ivanildo Hespanhol, da Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo e diretor do Centro Internacional de Referência em Reúso de Águas (Cirra), que falou dos desafios e experiências dessa técnica no Brasil; o engenheiro Alexandre Fortin, da Water Business Group Brazil Lead, representante da Ch2m Hill, que mostrou os cenários nacional e mundial sobre reuso; o advogado Fernando Marcato, MsC em Direito Público Comparado (Universidade Panthéon – Sorbonne (FRA) e sócio executivo da GO Associados, que abordou aspectos legais sobre o reúso de águas; e o engenheiro Renato Giani Ramos, coordenador da Câmara Temática de Dessalinização e Reúso da ABES, membro da Latin America Commercial Leader and Filtration, e gerente de Marketing da Dow Chemical Brazil, que discorreu sobre custos e tecnologia disponíveis. 

Mais de 120 participantes estiveram presentes ABES, SINDUSCON AL, ADEMI AL, FIEA, CREA e CASAL com o apoio da GO Associados, BRASKEM, CH2M e DOW Chemical Brasil.
