A entrevistada foi a coordenadora da Câmara de Resíduos da associação e diretora da ABES-SP, Roseane Garcia, que abordou os riscos para o meio ambiente e para a saúde de manter os lixões e comentou a estimativa de que há cerca de 3 mil deles hoje.

Nesta quarta-feira, 2 de agosto, a engenheira sanitarista e ambiental Roseane Garcia, coordenadora da Câmara Temática de Resíduos Sólidos da ABES e diretora da Seção São Paulo, conversou com a jornalista Alessandra Dantas, no programa Conexões, da Rádio Educativa UFMG. Na pauta, os 13 anos da lei da Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos: Conheça ação que visa mapear lixões do país.

Na oportunidade, a convidada abordou os riscos para o meio ambiente e para a saúde de manter os lixões e comentou a estimativa de que há cerca de 3 mil deles hoje. Ela também deu detalhes da campanha ‘Brasil, te quero livre de lixão’ e as iniciativas que estão dentro dela, ‘Mapa dos Lixões’ – que busca identificar e localizar essas áreas em todo o país – e ‘Diadesol – Dia Interamericano de Limpeza e Cidadania’, dedicado a estimular a conscientização de crianças e jovens sobre a questão do manejo de resíduos sólidos.
