ABES participa de reunião do Fundo Nacional do Meio Ambiente sobre compostagem

Nesta quinta, 23, a diretora nacional da ABES, Maria Lucia Coelho Silva, representou a entidade pela sociedade civil CONAMA na 74º Reunião Ordinária do Fundo Nacional do Meio Ambiente – FNMA, do Ministério do Meio Ambiente, realizada em Brasília/DF. Na ocasião, houve deliberação sobre projetos apresentados em atendimento ao Edital 01/2017 – Apoio a Projetos de Compostagem.

Segundo Maria Lucia Coelho Silva, este edital, lançado pelo FNMA e pelo Fundo Socioambiental Caixa Econômica Federal, tinha como objetivo selecionar projetos integrados de segregação na fonte  dos resíduos em três frações (orgânicos, recicláveis, secos e rejeitos) e a compostagem, como alternativa para reciclagem da fração orgânica de resíduos sólidos para municípios ou consórcios públicos intermunicipais, que atuem na gestão de resíduos sólidos.

O valor total do edital é de R$ 10.000.000,00 para propostas com valores de R$ 500.000,00 e o valor máximo de até R$ 1.000.000,00. Nesta sexta 24 de novembro foi divulgado o resultado parcial dos municípios selecionados veja aqui. O resultado final será publicado no dia 11 de dezembro de 2017.

Foram recebidas 324 propostas. Destas, sete foram enviadas por consórcios de municípios. E as demais, por munícipios. A maioria das propostas é de municípios de Sudeste do país, seguido pela Região Sul.

Lucia Coelho informa, ainda, que a maioria das propostas inabilitadas foi em decorrência do não envio de um dos documentos obrigatórios citados no edital. E que também foram eliminadas propostas de municípios que não apresentaram seu Plano Municipal ou Intermunicipal de Gestão de Resíduos Sólidos, atendendo à Lei da Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos.

A engenheira ressalta a importância do edital apoiando implantação e ampliação de projetos municipais de compostagem e destaca preocupação com dois aspectos: ”muitos municípios ainda não  possuem seus Planos Municipais e pouco número de propostas apresentadas  por munícipios da  Região  Nordeste e Norte neste processo”.
