Dia Mundial da Água: JPS-SP realiza série de ações de conscientização em escolas públicas

Depois do sucesso das atividades realizadas no ano passado, os integrantes do programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – Seção São Paulo (ABES-SP) promoverão uma nova série de palestras em escolas pelo Dia Mundial da Água, comemorado em 22 de março.

Os encontros estão previstos para a segunda quinzena de março, com alunos do Ensino Infantil, além de estudantes do Ensino Fundamental II, da Escola Estadual Antonie de Saint Exupery (Bairro do Limão) e da Escola Municipal de Educação Infantil Flavio Império (Bairro do Jaçanã).

Na programação, os Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento realizarão palestras, gincanas e atividades lúdico-pedagógicas com o objetivo de conscientizar e enfatizar a importância da água para todos os seres vivos.

O coordenador do JPS-SP, Álvaro Diogo, fala sobre as expectativas para a ação voluntária. “Este ano, estamos trabalhando dentro do contexto da campanha ‘Mais Saneamento, Menos Zika’, promovida pela ABES (leia mais aqui), e resolvemos voltar às escolas onde fizemos ações ano passado. As atividades estão sendo planejadas para abordar os assuntos, não só de forma teórica, mas também de forma lúdica, fazendo uma espécie de ‘Olimpíada da Água’. Esperamos dessa forma fazer com que o saneamento seja visto como fundamental para o bem-estar individual e coletivo”.

Sobre o programa

O Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento é um programa de desenvolvimento contínuo, criado pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental em 2010, que tem como objetivo despertar habilidades e lideranças entre os jovens que atuam em saneamento, e promover o debate de temas atuais relacionados ao setor de Saneamento e Meio Ambiente. O JPS está presente em 14 estados brasileiros (PA, AC, AL, CE, BA, ES, MT, MS, GO, MG, SP, RJ, PR e RS). Caso você não seja residente de São Paulo, sugerimos que entre em contato com a seção corresponde ao Estado onde reside, para que possa obter maiores informações.

O JPS proporciona aos seus integrantes ações como suporte à publicação de artigos técnicos para apresentação em congressos, divulgação de cursos, participação em eventos, promoção de visitas técnicas e palestras sobre o setor, cujo objetivo é aprimorar o conhecimento acadêmico dos jovens e promover uma rede de relacionamento.
