Jovens têm oportunidade de conhecer o software GISWATER em encontro promovido pelo JPS-SP

O auditório da ABES-SP lotou, nesta quarta-feira, 18 de abril, de jovens estudantes e profissionais do saneamento e meio ambiente interessados em saber mais sobre o software GISWATER. Eles participaram do evento “Solução de Integração – GISWATER: Modelagem Hidráulica Georreferenciada, utilizando ferramentas de integração de softwares livres”, promovido pelo Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES-SP (JPS-SP), uma oportunidade de aprendizado e reciclagem de conhecimentos.

A abertura foi realizada pelo vice-presidente da ABES-SP, Luiz Roberto Gravina Pladevall, que falou sobre a entidade e sua importante atuação em todo o país nas frentes técnico-científica, político-institucional e de gestão. A tecnóloga e integrante do JPS-SP Maria Fernanda Garrubo Bentubo, que organizou o evento, apresentou o programa aos participantes.

Com palestras dos engenheiros Marcelo Eduardo Porem e Carla Vasconcelos, o encontro abordou modelagem, gestão e operação de sistemas de abastecimento de água com a Solução GISWATER – Integração de softwares livres (PostgreSQL, QGIS e EPANET), utilizada para cálculo de sistemas de abastecimento de água e como ferramenta de cadastro técnico e gestão de sistemas de saneamento. Os jovens puderam conhecer mais e esclarecer dúvidas.

Para o tecnólogo em Hidráulica e Saneamento Lucas Ribas de Mattos, foi um encontro muito proveitoso. “Já conhecia um pouco da tecnologia, mas pude saber mais. Será muito útil pra minha atuação no mercado.”

Lucas: aprendizado útil à carreira

Vanessa Valentim da Cruz, tecnóloga e mestranda da Unicamp em Engenharia Civil com foco em recursos hídricos, também elogiou o evento. “Gostei muito. Já tinha visto alguns tutoriais, mas pude conhecer mais. É um tema interessante. Mesmo pra quem não trabalha com a área específica, mas sendo da área de Hidráulica, é muito útil.”

Na opinião do tecnólogo Jonathan Adam, integrante do JPS-SP, considerando-se a oportunidade de aprendizado, é uma excelente. “É o futuro. Se conectarmos este conhecimento com a automação e a gestão integrada, é o caminho. Com a nova geração que está se formando, é importante que se interessem desde agora, enquanto estamos no início do uso dessa tecnologia.”

“Esta é uma ferramenta nova, com grande potencial e o objetivo é divulgar para que outras pessoas conheçam e a utilizem. O grupo que esteve aqui hoje tem essa visão de buscar novas formas para fazer o que já estamos acostumados a fazer”, ressaltou o palestrante Marcelo Porem.

Maria Fernanda, organizadora do encontro e integrante do JPS-SP, ficou feliz com o resultado. “Foi excelente pela difusão de conhecimento, que é o que prezamos no JPS. E achei muito bom que nosso vice-presidente, Luiz Pladevall, tenha participado do encontro, porque nós jovens precisamos do apoio dos profissionais mais experientes, isso é fundamental para nossas carreiras, para a troca de experiência. E quanto ao software, muita gente ainda não conhecia suas funcionalidades. Por ser um software livre, com tantas especificidades, que muito válidas pra modelagem hidráulica, foi uma oportunidade interessante, inclusive para futuros cursos sobre o tema aqui na ABES. O mais importante deste software é que é excelente pra gestão, mas não faz milagres: precisa de atuação das equipes, de pessoal de campo treinado, capacitado. Não adianta a tecnologia, se não implementarmos para fazer a gestão acontecer.”
