Prêmio Jovem da Água de Estocolmo – Etapa Brasil 2023: conheça os projetos finalistas

A final nacional, que definirá o trabalho vencedor da edição, será realizada no dia 22 de maio, às 18h, durante 32º Congresso da ABES, o maior evento de saneamento ambiental do país, que correrá no Expominas, em Belo Horizonte/MG.

O Prêmio Jovem da Água de Estocolmo – Etapa Brasil divulgou, na última segunda-feira, 24 de abril, os cinco projetos finalistas da edição 2023 da premiação. A iniciativa é realizada pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES, por meio do programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento – JPS, em parceria com a Câmara Brasileira de Comércio na Suécia. 

A final nacional, que definirá o trabalho vencedor deste ano, será realizada no dia 22 de maio, às 18h, durante 32º Congresso Brasileiro de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental (CBESA) – o Congresso da ABES. O maior evento de saneamento ambiental do país acontecerá no Expominas, em Belo Horizonte/MG.

O projeto vencedor irá representar o Brasil na final internacional do Stockholm Junior Water Prize, realizada durante a Semana Mundial da Água de Estocolmo, em Estocolmo, na Suécia.

Trabalhos inovadores

O Prêmio Jovem da Água de Estocolmo é uma iniciativa global que busca reconhecer e apoiar jovens pesquisadores, com idade ebtre 15 e 20 anos, que se destacam na busca por soluções inovadoras e sustentáveis relacionadas aos recursos hídricos. A premiação tem um papel fundamental na promoção do desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico em todo o mundo, especialmente no Brasil, onde a escassez de água e a falta de saneamento básico ainda são grandes desafios.

Nesse sentido, a ABES, por meio do JPS, tem se empenhado em promover o Prêmio Jovem da Água de Estocolmo no Brasil, incentivando a participação de jovens cientistas e pesquisadores brasileiros. A entidade acredita que o reconhecimento e a valorização desses estudantes são essenciais para o avanço da ciência e tecnologia em temáticas relacionadas ao acesso à água, recursos hídricos e sustentabilidade, bem como para a promoção do desenvolvimento sustentável no país.
