Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento tem novo coordenador nacional

O tecnólogo Álvaro Diogo Teixeira é o novo coordenador nacional do Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento – JPS da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES. Álvaro assumiu o cargo na terça-feira, 26 de julho, na cerimônia que empossou a Nova Diretoria. Ele é membro do JPS desde sua criação, em 2010, e coordenou o programa em âmbito estadual pela ABES-SP, de dezembro de 2014 até a semana passada.

Formado pela FATEC-SP em Tecnologia em Hidráulica e Saneamento Ambiental e cursando mestrado em Sistemas Produtivos pelo Centro Paula Souza, Álvaro Diogo acredita que o JPS “tem a importante missão de manter alto o nível técnico de profissionais que atuam no setor, buscando lideranças na juventude e contribuindo para a capacitação e despertar de suas habilidades”.

O novo coordenador conta que vai elaborar um diagnóstico das Seções Estaduais, buscando identificar quais são as seções ativas, as que necessitam de algum auxílio ou orientação para condução das atividades e quais ainda não possuem o programa implantado para ajudar na articulação e mobilização inicial. “Vamos trabalhar em conjunto com os coordenadores estaduais para um planejamento de atividades efetivas que visem a expansão do programa junto às faculdades parceiras,” explica Álvaro.

A ideia, segundo ele, “é realizar visitas técnicas, ações voluntárias de educação ambiental, participação em eventos técnico-científicos, dentre outras boas práticas que os estados possuam e que possam ser compartilhadas e reproduzidas nas demais seções da ABES.”

Sobre as perspectivas no contexto de sua coordenação, afirma: “Espero poder contribuir com a atuação das seções estaduais, levando um pouco do aprendizado desenvolvido na Seção São Paulo nos anos que atuei como participante e também como coordenador estadual do programa”. Em relação aos desafios, o principal, de acordo com ele, é a dimensão continental do Brasil e sua heterogeneidade. “Será necessário desenvolver um padrão de atuação nacional para o programa e ao mesmo tempo respeitar a identidade local de cada seção e de cada grupo de jovens sanitaristas”, diz. “Esperamos com isso alcançar a ampliação do programa e fortalecimento das seções estaduais conquistando novos participantes para o programa”, complementa.

Ao assumir a coordenação nacional, Álvaro Diogo Teixeira passou a função que exercia no JPS da ABES Seção São Paulo para o geógrafo Thomas Ficarelli, que já era coordenador adjunto do programa. Formado em Geografia (Bacharelado e Licenciatura) pela Universidade de São Paulo, Thomas é Especialista em Tecnologias Ambientais pela FATEC-SP e Mestre em Geomática pela Universidade de Roma 2 – Tor Vergata.

Sobre o programa

O Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento é um programa de desenvolvimento contínuo, criado pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental em 2010, que tem como objetivo despertar habilidades e lideranças entre os jovens que atuam em saneamento, e promover o debate de temas atuais relacionados ao setor de Saneamento e Meio Ambiente. O JPS está presente em 14 estados brasileiros (PA, AC, AL, CE, BA, ES, MT, MS, GO, MG, SP, RJ, PR e RS). Caso você não seja residente de São Paulo, sugerimos que entre em contato com a seção corresponde ao Estado onde reside, para que possa obter maiores informações.

O JPS proporciona aos seus integrantes ações como suporte à publicação de artigos técnicos para apresentação em congressos, divulgação de cursos, participação em eventos, promoção de visitas técnicas e palestras sobre o setor, cujo objetivo é aprimorar o conhecimento acadêmico dos jovens e promover uma rede de relacionamento.
