Resíduos sólidos e educação ambiental: ABES-SP celebra o Diadesol 2021 com debate sobre conscientização e os ODS

O evento também marcou o lançamento da edição 2022 da campanha, que conta em sua programação com a 11° edição do concurso de Desenho Infantil e a 15° edição do concurso de Vídeo Amador.

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES Seção São Paulo (ABES-SP), por meio de sua Câmara Técnica de Resíduos Sólidos, realizou, nesta sexta-feira, 24 de setembro, um webinar sobre conscientização acerca dos resíduos sólidos e educação ambiental. O evento faz parte das atividades em comemoração ao Dia Interamericano de Limpeza e Cidadania – Diadesol 2021 e teve como tema “Olhando para os Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável – ODS da Organização das Nações Unidas – ONU”. 

Apresentado por Ricardo Ribeiro, coordenador institucional da ABES-SP, o webinar reuniu em sua abertura Luiz Pladevall, presidente da ABES-SP; Roseane M. Lopes Garcia de Souza, diretora da Seção e coordenadora das Câmaras – nacional e estadual (SP) – de Resíduos Sólidos da ABES; e Uladyr Nayme, presidente da ASEC/CETESB. O debate foi transmitido por meio do canal da ABES-SP. Para assistir ou rever o evento na íntegra, clique aqui. 

“É um prazer estar aqui com vocês na comemoração de um dia tão importante para o meio ambiente e a natureza. A ABES possui a Câmara Temática e a ABES São Paulo, a Câmara Técnica que discutem os temas referentes aos resíduos sólidos, com o objetivo de buscar soluções para um problema tão grave no país”, ressaltou Luiz Pladevall. 

Roseane Garcia comentou as atividades realizadas durante o mês em comemoração ao Diadesol. “A gente tem o mês de setembro para comemorar essa questão da gestão da melhoria, da redução, do reúso, enfim, temos vários nomes para trabalhar a questão dos resíduos sólidos”, frisou.  

“Aceitei esse convite com muito carinho porque nós fazemos o possível para poder trazer à população, a todos os especialistas em meio ambiente, os aspectos que podem favorecer o combate aos resíduos e trabalhar com os ODS. É um prazer muito grande estar aqui presente”, disse Uladyr Nayme. 

O evento foi dividido em dois blocos. A primeira parte teve a moderação de Eduardo Luís Serpa, conselheiro da ABES-SP, e as palestras de José Valverde, coordenador do Comitê de Integração de Resíduos Sólidos – CIRS — Secretaria de Infraestrutura e Meio Ambiente – SIMA, falando sobre “Economia Circular: oportunidades e desafios para as políticas de resíduos sólidos”. Valverde também aproveitou a oportunidade para informar a assinatura do decreto que regulamenta a legislação ICMS Ambiental, realizada nessa nesta (24), que para a agenda de resíduos sólidos trará uma efetividade que o Estado de São Paulo tem buscado, conforme destacou o especialista. Também integrou o debate Mariana Martins Lemes – Equipe Curricular de Geografia, coordenadoria Pedagógica da Secretaria da Educação do Estado de São Paulo, expondo “A temática dos resíduos sólidos na grade curricular paulista e seus materiais de apoio”. 

Na segunda parte do evento, com moderação de Roseane Garcia, foram apresentadas as palestras de Roberto Laureano, da coordenação do Movimento Nacional dos Catadores de Materiais Recicláveis – MNCR, que falou sobre “Ações dos catadores nas práticas da coleta seletiva”. Ele falou também sobre a trajetória das organizações, os avanços normativos, economia circular inclusiva, os desafios, objetivos e alguns resultados já alcançados pelo setor. O tema “Fórum Lixo e Cidadania no Estado de São Paulo” foi abordado por Emília Rutkowski, do Fórum Lixo e Cidadania na Região de Campinas e coordenadora Sudeste da CTRS ABES, que comentou as iniciativas realizadas na região de sua atuação, e por Delaine Romano, do Fórum para o Desenvolvimento da Zona Leste e coordenadora adjunta da CTRS da ABES-SP. Delaine falou sobre os concursos de Desenho Infantil e Vídeo, que são realizados como forma de incentivo à conscientização do público de todas as idades e classes sociais. Nina Orlow, coordenadora do Movimento Nacional pelos ODS do Estado de SP – MNODS SP, discorreu sobre o “Diadesol e os ODS”, seus desafios e metas. 

Ao final, a Comissão Organizadora do Diadesol-SP realizou o lançamento da edição 2022 do evento, que conta em sua programação com a 11° edição do concurso de Desenho Infantil e a 15° edição do concurso de Vídeo Amador. 

Sobre o DIADESOL 

O DIADESOL (Dia de los Desechos Sólidos, em espanhol) é comemorado anualmente no terceiro sábado do mês de setembro e foi idealizado com o objetivo de desenvolver atividades que despertem a consciência da sociedade sobre as questões relativas aos resíduos sólidos. Em São Paulo, as atividades do DIADESOL fazem parte do calendário anual da ABES-SP, que desde 2006 celebra a data com ações que buscam envolver diversos setores da sociedade, abrangendo pessoas de todas as idades.
