ABES-RS: Semana da Água é lançada em Porto Alegre

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção Rio Grande do Sul (ABES-RS) lançou, na última sexta-feira, 9, a XXIII Semana Interamericana e da XVI Semana Estadual da Água. A cerimônia, que ocorreu em Porto Alegre, na sede do Sindicato dos Engenheiros do Rio Grande do Sul (Senge-RS) – parceiro do evento -, contou com a participação dos presidentes da ABES-RS, Alexandre Bugin; da CORSAN, Flavio Presser; e do DMAE, Antônio Elisandro de Oliveira, além da diretora do SENGE, Nanci Giugno; e representantes de diversas entidades.

XXIII Semana Interamericana da Água e a XVI Semana Estadual da Água

A Seção gaúcha da ABES promoverá no Rio Grande do Sul, entre os dias 23 e 30 de setembro, com apoio e parceria de instituições públicas e privadas, a XXIII edição da Semana Interamericana da Água e a XVI edição da Semana Estadual da Água. Com o tema “Água Parada, Resíduos Acumulados, Saúde em Risco – A responsabilidade é de todos”, os eventos visam fortalecer e reafirmar, uma vez mais, um dos seus principais objetivos, que é a consciência de coletividade, a compreensão de que a responsabilidade pela solução é de todos.

Durante sete dias, haverá em todo o  Estado atividades técnicas, culturais, artísticas e sociais promovidas por instituições e empresas ligadas ao setor de saneamento, escolas, clubes de serviços, organizações não governamentais, comitês de bacia e outras entidades.

A Semana da Água no Rio Grande do Sul é uma das maiores ações de mobilização da sociedade em defesa da água no Brasil e tem reconhecimento internacional. É um período de encontro, reflexão e avaliação, destinado a lembrar  a importância da água para o desenvolvimento econômico e social, e a incentivar a cooperação das pessoas no sentido de tornar sustentável o planeta Terra.
